As for L'Oréal’s readiness to buy back the 23% stake Nestlé has in the cosmetics firm, Cox says the Swiss group doesn't need that cash nor would such a transaction eventually create value.

The deal could be done through a capital increase. For Swiss Re, such a deal would be like “monetizing the activity of data collection it had over the years of its history."
