Universiade 2021 launches search for 3,800 volunteers

The Universiade is the world’s largest multisport event apart from the Olympics. Organizing the competition, scheduled to take place in Lucerne in January 2021, is a challenge in any year. As the search for 3,800 volunteers kicks off and final preparations continue, Urs Hunkeler, managing director of the organizing committee, eyes a September cut-off date for a final decision on whether to go ahead or cancel.
